Monday Monday and not on my game...

The day started with the night...meaning a night of NO sleep. Bubba was up at least 4 times and was not easy to put back to sleep the 3rd and 4th time. Long story short I didn't make it to the gym and slept in...bad news for a Monday morning. Sport came and crawled in bed about 6am. Sport, due to his lack of a large colon is usually super poopy and stinky by morning. Because I was too tired to get out of bed and change him, I plugged my nose and let him snuggle until it was time to get up. (seriously could have used some nose plugs). I got the boys off to school and snagged what I thought I needed to do Sport's presentation with his reg ed class. In a rush I slapped on some lipstick with one hand rinsed out the tub of Sports left-over poops with the other.
At school I unloaded Bubba and realized it was really cold. Somehow I had loaded him into the car and didn't bring a blanket. Luckily I did have a sweatshirt stashed back there from last Saturday. Note, keep extra baby blanket in car. Inside, the teacher asked if I remember to send Sports velcro hand splints..hmm NOPE. Presentation went fine but not great.
Princess and I ran to Costco to do a return. (That is, after I was half-way down the street and remembered to go back to my house and grab the return). While inside Costco it started to rain, and of-course I didn't have an umbrella with me. I did have a decent afternoon of getting some work done while Princess played with her sticker book.
After school Master left for Soccer and I took Sport to Karate, I was late to drop off and late to pick up. I do this every week, you would think I would know by now how much time it takes to load a 4yr old, a baby, and drive to Karate...guess not.
I decided last minute to take the kids to Masters soccer game in Far West. I dashed back home and grabbed a few things, thinking I was prepared..NOPE. I drove through McDonalds only to have Princess melt down that the girl toy is actually a boy doll. (Come-on McDonalds what are you thinking?) I told Princess she couldn't throw a fit or freak out. And in a very quiet voice I heard her say, "I am going to, I am going to freak out if it's a boy doll". ugg!! I didn't stop the car and parent, I kept driving because we were late for the game. We get to the game with a screaming baby because he is hungry. It's windy and cold. Princess had left her jacket at the house after the previous errands. Princess put on Sport's too big sweatshirt. Sport put on Indy's jacket over the top of his Karate digs which kinda made him look like a jedi master. (It was kindy funny) The kids spotted a park and all I heard for the next 5 minutes was the whining and begging to play at the park. The soccer field was around the back-side of the building. I kept trying to explain that we could play after. NOPE not good enough for Sport, he sat right down and refused to move. I've got a crying baby strapped to me, (that I'm trying to protect from the wind because he is only half dressed)..(remember the dash to get to karate - I had his pants with me they just weren't on him yet) and I've got a diaper bag with a bottle for the hungry baby, and three camp chairs all in my arms. This very odd but nice Grandma walks by and asks if she can help Sport because clearly I'm not handling the situation. I finally threaten Sport to get him moving and we make it over to the game. We sit down and Princess tells me she's got to go potty. There are NO potties in sight! I told her to hold it. I finished feeding the baby and realized his diaper was at capacity. Princess was doing a serious potty dance, and Sport was moaning for no reason (which makes me crazy) and Indy was down coaching Master in the goalie box. I walked down the field and handed Indy the baby, who was wet through the blanket. I was gradually aware as I passed every parent on the side lines, my garment top had come untucked and was flapping in the wind. OH-well. I marched Princess off to find a tree....only to discover being the super prepared mom I am, I had no wipes in my diaper bag. Within a few minutes the game ends. Happy day!. Remember how I fed the kids on the way to the soccer game, they were claiming they are starving! REally?? Sport refused to do up his seatbelt and Princess spilled the remainder of her fries. (of course we are in the new car). Completely done with the day we head home. I've got laundry all over the place, back-packs and their contents strewn across the floor, and dirty diapers sitting on the stairs to go outside. I left it all right where it was and went to take a hot bath. I put fresh sheets on my bed. I didn't even care that I had a king fitted and a queen top sheet, they smelled like downy and that smells heavenly. And that was my Monday. Maybe tomorrow I'll be on my game.

I think you should be here - at least the rain would have been expected :)
I would have jumped in the car with jackets in hand!
