30 seconds of normal
Last night I was working in the yard. Sport, Dennis and the neighbor who is 12 were jumping they were calling each other "butt"names and laughing their heads off. At one point the neighbor called Noah a "retard butt" Remy was laughing so hard I couldn't bring myself to correct the situation.
Today I was late getting to the school to help Sport ride his bike home. I had the car AND Noah AND obviously couldn't drive and help with the bike thing. I asked Master to help him get through the intersection and I was pretty sure he could do the rest of it himself.
And he did...
I watched my not so normal little boy doing what All the rest of the kids were doing
By himself
And we had 30 seconds of normal.
To say I wouldn't change a thing about Rems just is not true.
If a Genie appeared out of a lamp I would wish away his extra chromosome and have that Genie give him a healthy new colon.
I would wish it without even thinking.
Not for my sake but for his.
(I think)
It's that last part where I get confused sometimes.
Even though I would change it
and I would love to take away the pain,
give him all the "normal"opportunities this life holds
He gets different opportunities
and sometimes different is pretty cool.
I love him completely just the way he is.
Manners
On the way to school this morning this jolly man was walking up ahead of us. He happened to have a shape like Santa as well. As we passed (boys are on bikes) He (jolly man) says:
"Well good morning boys"
Sport says nothing
Dennis says "Well good morning Butter Butt"
Can I just die!!!!!!

Mom Mom mommeeee!
I am awful at getting pics on Mother's Day. This one turned out so dark when I lightened it we all turned a little green. Love these four more than anything in this world.
Memorial Day
This crash site is 8 miles west of our cabin. It was a plane returning 37 servicemen from the Korean War. Soldiers on their way home that never made it there. No one survived the crash of C46. I didn't think about it until we headed out but it was a cool thing to do on "memorial day". I am so grateful to those that have paved the way before me. The ride was mostly dry for the ATV's but in a couple of spots we hit snow drifts. I happened to be lead driver and was of course first to get stuck. Lucky for help was close by. As we came through one by one waiting for everyone to clear the spot, I thought life is like this, there are tricky spots for everyone. How great it is and how much easier it is when we help each other out. As we all cleared a particular challenge I couldn't help but feel a WOOT WOOT surge of happy.
Tradition
The Shermans and the Chaudoins join us every Memorial weekend at the cabin. It used to be a major work weekend. It's now been 11 years since we "finished" the place and somehow there is always work to be done up there. Even though this is about the only time of year I get to see these families I really love them. They are the type of people you look up to and the ones you call when you are in need of help because you know they will rescue you. Even when you don't ask they come up with Awesome surprises for Sport. A couple of years ago I can't remember what we were doing but it involved Indy Bill and Kevin. I leaned over to my young (single) friend and said "those are the kind of men you want to marry"
First Half
Cross it off the bucket list. This was AWFUL!!! So AWFUL I might need to do it again. Two weeks prior to the race I did 11.2 miles and felt great. No pain anywhere. I don't claim to be a runner but I've been working out and running on a consistent basis. I went in expecting a reasonable time. NOOOOOO. It rained the ENTIRE time! HARD! Up to mile 7 I felt great. I decided pedal to the medal baby. BAD idea I crossed Pineview Dam and headed down the the canyon. Did I mention "down" I was flying. REAlly bad idea. The ground evened out again and I felt a huge pain in my knee. I've never had knee issues in my life. I tried to suck it up and run through the pain and my body started the domino....groin spasm, then hip pain, then hip flexor pain so bad I wanted to stop. By mile 10 I could barely walk. And the rain. I crossed that finish line so cold my teeth were chattering. Swearing NEVER AGAIN. I can't stop thinking about how I will do the next one better.
1st grade program
She was WAY excited for her program today. So many fun songs! She had every one of them memorized....so much so it was almost driving us a tiny bit Crazy!
This semi-family picture makes me laugh. I think my phone was at a funny angle because I look warped and I can't tell what that look on Indy's face is saying....? Princess is mid sentence and Mr. Avenger is not even paying attention. #keepingitreal

He secretly loves it
This kid is a great kid. He puts up with a ton of crap from his brothers...but secretly I think he likes it.
Quiet Time
There is a couch and a chair in the cabin that have magical abilities to put you to sleep.
He was loving the headphones Kaden let him borrow.
My little buddy
Obviously you know the drill. As a SAHM this kid goes everywhere with me. Including the hair salon. He was super great up until the point he disappeared. I found him in the bathroom "cleaning up" his own poopy pants. Let's just say there was poop "EVERYWHERE" I love and adore him, however on the way home I sent Indy a txt saying I needed a break from this child...even 20 minutes would allow me go breathe some calm somewhere.
PTA
Thank You lunch and transition of board =
I AM DONE being President ..yay
ok in all honesty it was kinda fun. I had super great people helping me.

Grounding time
Now if you know me at all, you know that I grew up with a mother that can make a killer poster and set an absolutely awesome table. When it comes to gardening, we don't do that. Brian grew up with a mother that LOVES to be in the garden. So here we are starting small. These are self watering planter boxes. We will call it the experiment year.
Protein and a Carb
We were out in the yard a lot on Saturday. Noah woke up from his nap and found himself a snack. This is what I found. GROSS combo!!! But I guess if you are two it works.
