Last night I was feeling pretty "mother-low" the only way I have of defining that term is when... You are bone tired and you wonder WHY in the world you are doing this mothering thing ?!?! I can't even remember exactly whyI was so tired but I knew I had a big day in front of me and the schedule was tight..I was flying solo (hubs in Vegas for work) and in order for everyone to be where they needed to be I had to have my STUFF together. The problem was I didn't want to pull it together. It goes back to that gotta wanna thing and I didn't wanna. Not to make you nauseas but for my posterity this is what the day looked like:
5:45 rise and shine
6:30 Cam to wrestling training (work out while he does this)
7:20 home do Remy flush procedure, drive to jr high, drive to elementary and then drive to pre-school.
9:20 my own appt with new dr for my SI - back issue
10:30 pick up Remy
10:45 Pick up Cam
11:00 Remy ski lesson - (ya we got there late)
Ski with Cam
Have lunch
Home to take Zoe to Dance
Pick up Noah and neighbors from tumbling
Zoe fitting for solo outfit
Home - feed some of the kids
Party plan and drive (5) 7th graders to dinner and bowling
Home - pick up house - put kids in bed -
Wait for the 7th grader to return.
OH MY HECK! So this was the kicker. Rems is a pain in the bum to get started in his lesson, once that was out of the way I had just Cambridge time. I told him I would race him to the bottom of the Mountain and his response was, "Eat my Powder". Which I did most of the hill. I did catch him at the very end to squeak by with the win. So FREAKING FUN we had to do it again. It was a beautiful day, and as I gloried in every second of it I thought - see this mothering thing is paying off!
