Quote of the day
"Your hands should never be idle".
This was my gift from my mom for mothers day. It was so beautifully put together I had to snap a picture before I took it apart. It contains a quick dry mat, a dish cloth, dish gloves, dish soap, scrub brush, and a hand lotion with a 5 dollar bill tied to it (tip money for the dish washer!). Thanks mom you're the best!

Toll Booth
Our ox was - is in the mire.... so we had to cruise to the cabin, thus no church for us. Never can we go to the cabin without passing through the Toll Booth. For many years the Toll Booth has been the Wal-mart in Brigham City. Since they finished the Wal-Mart on the south end of Logan, IT is now the Toll Booth. Meaning we can not go go the cabin without stopping at Wal-Mart. I kind of dislike the toll booth; for many reasons. Let me tell you a secret..... the toll booth on an early Sunday morning is AWESOME - no-body is there. We practically had the place to ourselves, which was a good thing because as I rounded the corner I heard Pie yell: "For hells-sake Sport quit bouncing that ball!!!!" Ok maybe we better go back to church.
On a side note Pie was most upset we were missing church because according to her: "my BFF Brinley is going to be wearing a super-cute outfit and I soooo want to see it" Bless us and save us.

Boredom
When was the last time you were bored? I have heard a few stay-at-home moms say; sometimes they can get bored, or run out of things to do. I am (right now) a working mom, but I have help. I have a cleaning lady that comes twice a month, yard people that mow and trim, a nanny and a very helpful husband. So you would think with all that help at some point I would get bored. If you google boredom images you get this
I don't think she looks bored I think she looks like she is have a good time sitting there, doing nothing, thinking pleasant thoughts.
Further down the page of boredom pics you get this:
This is more me. Indy is out of town and he called tonight to see "how it's going" Well after a long crazy day at work I'm looking at my house and my kitchen looks like a bomb went off. The project I started two days ago (cleaning out the pantry) is still in progress. Dinner dishes and food have yet to be put away. The floor around Bubba's high chair looks like it could feed a small 3rd world country. (yes he is teething and an grumpy little thing). We did make it to and from Karate and fertilize the lawn. In the living room the contents of Sports back-back is all over the floor. In at least every room of the house I can find mardi gras beads on the floor. There is laundry in my bedroom that needs to be folded and put away. There is 4th grade home-work half finished sitting on the one clean end of the kitchen table. There are dance costumes from dance pictures yesterday and today scattered up and down the hall-way...and I'm in my office working staring at a work project I should really get done. Nope I am not bored. Presently I am ignoring all of it and blogging instead. The last time I remember being bored was the 7th grade.

My perspective
(Read story below first). I HATE, ok strongly dislike dandelions. I have a thing for super green, super lush lawns. The (below) story made me think that when I come across something or someone that is bugging me or that I view as undesirable. Maybe, just maybe, I am wrong. Maybe its the " most beautiful thing ever" and I'm the one that needs to change how I see it.

A Dandelion perspective
I attended a luncheon today where I heard the mom tell this story.
Her daughter and husband were driving home and they passed a house with a lawn FULL of dandelions. She turned to her dad and said, "That is the most beautiful lawn I have ever seen. Look at all of that yellow"
She paused and said, "Those people with that lawn are the luckiest people ever. Just think in a few weeks about all those wishes they will get to make."
It made me stop and think about how I view the dandelions in my own life.
Why go to Stake Conference
Last Sunday was stake conference. I'm not a big fan of attending stake conference with children. 2 hours of sitting in the same spot typically doesn't go over well. Nevertheless we packed up the kiddos and went. We arrived late of course. As we sat down I looked to my right and there sat the CUTEST downs girl. Now, in my head I've already got Sport married off to Aubry, but just in case things don't go as planned.... I leaned over to the mom of this darling girl and said. "I typically don't believe in arranged marriages but I'm thinking your daughter might be perfect for my son, how old is she?" The mom laughed and said, "four". I said, "perfect he is eight."
