Ready Set Break

Spring Break
We typically do a stay-cation.
But with Remy's surgery coming up, I said we were going to go Big
I think I burned up every Marriott point and Frequent Flyer point the hubs has.
Hawaii here we come
ALOHA
or in Remy's case
Ha-Lo-Ha

"I like to fuss"

Zoe first solo!
She wasn't scared, didn't cry.
I wanted to puke a bit.
But she was fine
Took second place!!!

I love you the most

Ever have that debate about who loves who the most?  Noah told me he loves me the "Super Bat Most" - now that is love!

Part Bat?

Asleep upside down on the chair.

A Knight on the throne.

Still potty training.

Bat-mobile

I think he needs this in black.

Bubble bubble pop

I love playing outside with this little dude, I just wish it would warm up a bit.

Family ski day

Remy's super skinny ski legs. 6 runs down little cat and he can carry his own crap. Yay!!!! A note about progress. So far this season he has had zero progress on the ski hill. I was feeling frustrated and was tempted to skip this day's lesson. I am so glad we didn't. Maybe it was a change in teachers maybe it was just a 'good' day but to be able to let go and watch him do it on his own was amazing. And he knew it, " I did it I did it by myself, Yes!"

1st grade field trip

Tree House Museum. Zoe was called up to act out some of the fairy tales.

Busy

He literally told me to go away.

Hands free

Blog surfing found this and love it.
"I'm going Hands Free. I want to make memories, not to-do-lists. I want to feel the squeeze of my daughter's arms, not the pressure of over-commitment. I want to get lost in conversation with my spouse, not consumed by a sea of unimportant emails. I want to be overwhelmed by sunsets that give me hope, not by extracurricular commitments that steal my joy. I want the noise of my life to be a mixture of laughter and gratitude, not the intrusive buzz of cell phones and text messages. I am letting go of distraction, disconnection, and perfection to live a life that simply, so very simply, consists of what really matters. I'm going Hands Free. And if this sounds like a life you want to start living, come along. A Hands Free revolution starts here! "

An alarming trend.

Brian and I caught Rems muttering under his breath the other day " awe dammit". Well this morning when he walked into his bedroom and saw his enema bag (just like every other morning) it was a very clear "awe dammit"

Time Out

He kills me. I put him in time out and what does he do? Strips down to play with his privates.

21 days make a habit ??

The kids get to take a dollar out every time we raise our voices. Here is to hoping my kids don't get rich quick.

Ski day

Zoe and Chloe
Koford Family

Every once in a while you take a deep breath of clean mountain air and life is just good. So Good you want to pause and let it sink deep in your bones, so that on the not so good days you have something to pull from.
Anyone that has taught their kids to ski knows at some point it's a painful experience. Like seriously exhausting to haul them, their equipment, dress them, undress them, hoping one day it will pay off and it will be "fun". Because of the ability level of Remy and Noah we still have to ski in shifts. Today was my day with Cam and Zoe and it was awesome. And the Awesome was capitalized by running into friends and skiing with them. FYI the moment when the 12 yr old looks at you and says "eat my powder" you've arrived.
However when the ski instructor said, "the one with the white helmet is kinda fiesty" My response was "Hmmm can't imagine where she gets it from"!

Jazz game

Crazy kids! Especially the youngest.
Noah spent the entire game flirting with the cute girl in front of us. Including taking off his normal shirt to show her the batman on his undershirt.

Dear Husband

The hubs has been gone all week. You would think since I haven't gone to work all week the house would be spic and span laundry done before he gets home today..... uh no.
WTH. It's Friday I've had one week home you would think with all this time on my hands I would be so caught up. Reality check.... The blessing of having a nanny at home with Noah; it was like having two of me = lots of crap gets done. One of me = not so much.

Scouts

Even at this young age it's neat to see how these boys treat Remy. They had a marshmallow sculpture contest and hen voted. The boys without any help from their leaders had Remy win. He was THRILLED!
